Woman's Soup of the Day

You may well have noticed that many shoe manufacturers and designers put their efforts into creating shoes that are either comfortable or fashionable. This can often be frustrating, particularly since many of us want to buy shoes that offer both style and comfort. We may not think it unreasonable that retailers should be able to meet our requirements.
If you’ve looked at the latest style that are available then you’ll know that many footwear designers put more thought into how shoes look than they do into thinking about how they’ll feel when worn. This is certainly bad news. Although we might enjoy having shoes and accessories that look nice, it can be really difficult to walk in shoes that simply don’t feel comfortable.
The most basic concern that we may have may be that such footwear could be painful, rubbing against our delicate feet. But things can actually become much worse and you may even have felt the pain associated with blisters. Even though we may think that any such problems only tend to be temporary, this doesn’t stop them from being painful, annoying and frustrating.
Having shoes that take the opposite approach can still be bad news. There seems to be very little point in having comfortable shoes if they’re so unfashionable that you hate wearing them. Such an unsatisfactory situation can lead to worries and a loss of confidence in the way that you look.
So are there better solutions available? Fortunately, a number of manufacturers and retailers have been looking at alternative solutions. The likes of Cosy Feet and Fly Flot shoes seem to be specifically aimed at those people who want both style and comfort. Such brands show that it is possible for shoes to provide both features. It’s to be hoped that more shoe designers think about what their customers really want.
